What happened there then? Seem to have missed a couple of days! That’ll teach me to try keeping up with Ricky Hatton (safe journey home, lad – it’s been a fuckin’ pleasure!).
Been in Guadalajara for the last 48 hours (or is it 24? Fuck knows, I can’t remember).
Met a woman at Mexico airport who asked me could I get her son any tickets for last night’s gig.
“Tickets? Not my bag, love. I can put him on the guest list though?
“Tell him to bring i.d.” I said. “Just in case there’s any problemos”.
“I.d.?” says the woman. “He has no i.d.. He’s only 6!!”
SIX!!?
City won away in Europe. Wonders never cease, etc. Fuck that “orange” kit though. Actually, its official title is “Blaze”! Either way, it’s horrible. Get rid.
Couldn’t tell you what the show was like last night. The crowd were so loud I couldn’t hear much of anything else. They seemed to enjoy it so it’s all good, I expect.
Incidentally, I may have tasted the greatest can of Guinness of all time last night. Quite unbelievable.
Just about to fly to Monterey. Not the one where they had that festival in the 60s (that’s in California), but the real one about 5 hours from here.
Gotta plane to catch.

Well, Ricky turned up. Sven didn’t. Mexico have lost a couple of games and apparently he’s not flavour of the month. He thought it would be best if he didn’t play out. He sends his regards though. Shame. I loved that man.Gig wasn’t all that, to be honest. We haven’t played for 2 weeks and it felt like it.
Nursing a sore head today. Sat up most of the night drinking with Ricky. Feeling it now though. Good job we’ve got a day off. Not in any fit shape to do anything other than stay in bed and watch TV, which is exactly what I’m doing.
Flying to Guadalajara tonight. Gonna get me some room service now, so…hasta luego.

Hola.
We’ve finally made it to Mexico. That day of press in LA was great. All of us went into Indie 103 see that Sex Pistol Steve Jones. He’s fuckin’ great, Jonesy. We had a top laugh. The show descended into farce when he ran an impromptu competition to win tickets to come see Oasis next week. Fuckin’ funny.
Sven-Göran Eriksson’s coming to the show tonight! Can’t wait.
We seem to have lost Ricky Hatton in a sea of Guinness. Fuck knows where he is. Hope he makes it.
Well up for this tonight. 22,000! SOLD OUT!! It only holds 16,000!! AY, CARAMBA!!

Az észak-amerikai turné örömére a fiúk több amerikai rádióban is szerepeltek. Liam az 98-7 FM los angelesi rádióban, a Rewind at Noon című műsorban szerepelt, melyben Andyvel és Gemmel együtt előadta az I’m Outta Time akusztikus verzióját.
Emellett az egész együttes részt vett Steve Jones, Sex Pistols-tag, Jonesy’s Jukebox című műsorában, melyet a szintén los angelesi Indie 103.1 rádió sugárzott. A fiúk rögtön megtalálták a közös hangot Steve-vel, az “interjú” podcastja itt érhető el (youtube-on pedig innen). Elég hosszú, de higgyétek el, érdemes meghallgatni.

A Channel 4 digitális adása a múlt hét pénteken Oasis-estet tartott, melynek keretében a My Big Mouth és az I am The Walrus kivételével teljes egészében leadták a Standing on the Edge of the Noise fantázia nevű, londoni, exkluzív “bemelegítő koncertet”. A csatorna földi adása péntek hajnalban (12:20-kor) megismétli az adást, de nekünk nem kell elmenni Angliába, hogy lássuk 
. Igen, természetesen a youtube-ról beszélek.
A teljes koncertet érdemes meghallgatni, letölteni, cédére kiírni, mivel Liam frissen, kipihenten a legnagyszerűbb formáját nyújtotta. (A setlistet kiegészítettem az msn-re felkerült Rock ‘n’ Roll Starral és Songbirddel)

Now then, it’s been a couple of weeks. How’s things?
Been in that Las Vegas for the last couple of days. Me and wots’iz’name were carrying Ricky Hatton’s belts out for his world title fight against Paulie something-or-other. A great, great night. What a buzz! The atmospherics at Ricky’s fights are unbelievable.
Met David Beckham for the very first time and I can tell you he smells magnificent!!
Fuck me, we had a proper drink up afterwards. Felt like a lump of shit yesterday though.
On the way to LA today. Got to do a couple of days of press then fly down to Mexico. Few gigs there. Back to the States for 3 weeks touring.
It’s good to be back.

Liam és Noel viszonozták a szívességet, amit a kisváltósúlyú profi világbajnok, Ricky Hatton tett a fiúknak Liverpoolban: a Gallagher fivérek vitték Hatton öveit a ringbe Hatton vasárnapi, Paulie Malignaggi elleni, Nevadában tartott meccsén.
Hatton az Oasishez hasonló ikon-szerű jelenség hazájában, Angliában, ráadásul ő is manchesteri, mi több Manchester City-drukker, ami mint tudjuk, vízválasztó szempont manchesteri és manchesteri között.
Csakhogy érzékeljük, hogy menniyre az, lássuk, hogy Hatton mit tart fontosnak az életben:
“Ha meg kellene neveznem, hogy miket tartok fontosnak az életben, azt mondanám, hogy elsősorban a családomat, a kisfiamat, Campbellt, aztán a bokszolást, aztán a Manchester Cityt és végül az Oasist.”

Írtuk, hogy a Mojo Oasis hónapot tart. Ez nemcsak a szép címlap és a 13 oldalas Oasis-exkluzív miatt jó, melyből kiderül, hogy Noel miért is nem örült annyira Liam februári házasságkötésének (nem, nem az volt a baja, hogy nem hívták meg, ááááá ), hanem mert ennek kisérőjeként Oasis minisite-ot is készített a magazin.
A site-ról többek között a 2005-ös Mojo szám oasises oldalait lehet letölteni pdf-ben, ill. lehet még nyereményjátékon részt venni (persze csak brit olvasóknak), és korai oasis videókat (videók 1, videók 2) nézegetni.

Noel – hogy, hogy nem? – nyilatkozgatott ilyen-olyan amerikai újságoknak, nyilvánvalóan a decemberi amerikai turné népszerűsítése céljából. Akit érdekel, hogy miket mondott GD – ok, már ő maga is bevallotta, hogy beszédkényszere van – a Relix-interjút itt, a Wave Magazine szösszenetet pedig itt olvashatja el. Utóbbiból kiderül, hogy miért is lett olyan jó a DOYS…
Emellett a MOJO is elővett néhány igen szép, Bournmouthban készült koncertképet, hogy promótálja a jövő héten megjelenő új számát, melyben lesz egy nagyon mély, és új információkat tartalmazó Noel interjú.
Persze nemcsak interjúkkal, de celeb-fronton is hozzák a kötelezőket a fiúk: Liam és Noel együtt hozza majd be Ricky Hatton – főállásban kisváltósúlyú boxbajnok, mellékállásban Oasis és Man. City-rajongó, országos haver “földi” – IBO és “The Ring Magazine” öveit a szombati boxmeccsen.
